Les Plantiers Du Haut Brion

Château Larrivet Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion, 2019
Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux

A compelling red blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc offers a taste characterized by rich, dark fruits, velvety tannins, and a long, fragrant finish. It features notes of blackcurrant, redcurrant, and plum, complemented by hints of sauteed herbs and tobacco leaf. The wine is full-bodied with a good balance of fruit and freshness, and the tannins are very firm, ripe, and velvety.

This is a well-structured and balanced wine with tannins are well-integrated that contributes to a smooth and velvety texture. The 2019 vintage is considered a great Bordeaux vintage, alongside 2018 and 2020.

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

+2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment) A beautiful deep ruby red color. On the nose: Expressive nose captivates with dark red fruit, espresso, chocolate, floral, menthol, sweet tobacco. Taste: rich, round, intense wine with dark cherry/blackberry, minerals, cedar, tobacco, and a peppery-pencil lead-dried herb long dry finish. YUM! A brilliant wine just entering its drinking window with time to go. — 9 hours ago

This was brilliant - still lots life left. Remarkably youthful. Notes of tobacco and red fruit on the nose. Elegant and refined. Super long finish. What a treat. Among the best I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Bravo @hautbrion. — 23 days ago

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

From magnum. Medium deep ruby , thin ruby rim . Deep and perfumed , floral with violets , iris , summer fruits , spicy notes and warm embers . Quite rich and ripely fruited , cassis , blackberry , sweet cherry . Good freshness and ripe , very fine tannins . Long and detailed , so elegant on the palate . Balanced Red currant , cassis tinged finish , mineral and saline hints . Come back in 5-10 years will show well over the next 10-15 years . This shows pretty similar to last year , a really elegant and refined edition of this wine. — 2 months ago

Nirvana. You have reached it. Now you can retire and start drinking flavored, carbonated waters 😁. You know, that last component makes a demonstrable difference: the people you share it with. Congratulations. 👏👏
