This strawberry crusher is more dynamic than your average rosé, and could hold it’s own against a summery lunch or meal (chicken salad, grilled vegetables, etc) — 2 years ago
Very opaque and dark. Feels like a good blend of deep and complex but not overly tanniny — 4 years ago
Wow! Acidity, bright fruits, plums, strawberry, some flowers. Great tannin. Perfect pizzaiolo night wine with the fam. Went with the pizza, pasta, salad, and fried chicken! This is even more unique than broc vine Starr as far as light bodied acidic zins go. Interestingly it still has that hint of jam that screams CA zin. Lovely. — 5 years ago
Im liking this wine more and more, great first Carignane release! Great fruit, lovely dark notes of gnarly old vine. More please!

Scrumptious with marinara over pasta and meatballs!! Beautiful dark plum color, Dark berries on the nose, smoky and peppery on the palate. Nice zing in the back of the throat. I will always have this in the house, from now on; it’s that good. — 2 years ago
Delicious. Dry. Aromatic. Complex. Delicious. — 4 years ago
A delicate translucent ruby in the glass with just thd tiniest amount of fizz. The nose is exceedingly pretty while also showcasing its rustic nature. Oak gets the party started on the bouquet with fresh berries and herbs joining in. A nice bit of soft spice and earth are wonderful here. This is an amazingly light and fresh Pinot with a ton of character. 14.2 but you never feel it.
Really nice structure and minerality here. Medium bodied with round tannins and moderate acidity. Plenty of restraint shown here thankfully. Silky on the tongue which leads to a palate full of generous red fruits. Cranberries, raspberries, and pomegranates lead things with more dry earth and herbs. A really nice Pinot where they made all the right choices. — 5 years ago

Riesling
Wirz Vineyard
Cienega Valley
Central Coast, CA
T-hued to the eye, the nose is an absolutely elegant combination of the soils this Riesling was lucky enough to grow up in, and the age of the vines, planted by a legend named Pat Wirz, in the Cienega Valley of California, in 1963.
The palate of this Riesling is of a remarkable, Alsatian style that has the balance to satisfy & then some. Before it moves to the finish, a gorgeous feel of melon presents itself, as the finish makes its way not only onto the palate but quietly into the memory.
We paired it with some of Beth’s shrimp for and grits- and the pair was better than the sum of its parts.
…as good as those parts were. — a month ago
