A cab lovers pinot. Sheer beauty in the glass. Rich and dense. Superb balance and mid-palate texture. Flavors sail on. Juxtaposed to to a burg, but who cares? — 8 years ago

Arguably the best white wine I’ve tasted. Opulent yet restrained. Almost floral on the nose, yet soft and round on the palate. A model of balance and juxtaposed dominance. A super gift from Teresa and @Eric LaMasters — 8 years ago

A heady mixture of tar, violets and earth that only hinted at what will be one day. The juxtaposed palate featured silky tannins and a bold spectrum of black and red fruits that played hide and seek throughout the evening. The wine left me feeling like a teenage boy who lost his virginity. Yes there were some awkward moments but you knew it was going to get better and better and you wanted more. — 10 years ago

Wow!! This is based on Muscat and it is phenomenal. Not your typical Tokaj. And they keep it in Hungary. Dry and sweet juxtaposed. White fruits abound... — 11 years ago
2014 Winderlea Meredith Mitchell Vineyard Pinot Blanc - First vintage of Pinot Blanc from this famed vineyard, with lovely nose of Bosc pears, orchid flowers, and spice, greeting the palate with bright green apples and key limes, juxtaposed with a brilliant salinity. A bit of river stone and honey in the mid-palate with a great acidic finish! #dinner — 11 years ago
Unique. Limey lime juxtaposed with yeast and beautiful mousse texture. Contemplative as they come! Couldn't quite wait for it's 10th bday... — 12 years ago
Quite a treat sipping on something w/bottle age: bright neon golden colors, some peach & tangerine, fragrant beautiful with zesty acidity juxtaposed w/some fatness coming from age. Hint of RS on finish not quite as precise (balance) as German Riesling, but flat out Awesome nevertheless — 7 years ago
Nice, visual presentation. Nose displays bread and roasted nuts. Palate is buttery, juxtaposed with grassy notes. The bubbles are pin-point, and display urgency on the palate. Finishes a touch yeasty, but good, nonetheless. — 8 years ago

Lychee, kiwi, elderflower, bitter almond flower, honeysuckle, hints of saffron. Snapping rounded acidity, full bodied, juicy rich texture, long floral, slightly honeyed finish. Juxtaposed delicacy over richness, mineral notes expressed despite touches of RS. Unique Burgundy. 30-45 minute decanting recommended. — 8 years ago
I’d have thought I was drinking a Morgon: Pronounced earth and funk juxtaposed against bright, young red fruit—cranberry and sour cherry. My re-education on the Pacific NW is going wonderfully @Kyle Bella — 9 years ago
This one may have been the most interesting of the vertical. The complexity of fruit juxtaposed with barnyard funk made this not only a great wine, but a great learning experience. — 10 years ago
This wine is likely the greatest value I have tasted from the Maconnais 2014's this far. Intense automatically and in the depth of fruit on the pallet. Great richness juxtaposed by mineral edges and acidity . — 10 years ago
2013. Extremely dark, smells of smoke, cassis and blueberry, but the blueberry really comes forward on the palate. Fruit is set off by a dramatic show of spices - nutmeg, sage and vanilla. Nice brambly component, backbone to spare. The tannins are firm and brawny enough for a big ol’ ribeye this thick. The '13 Soucie Vineyard Zinfandel is complex and almost brooding, with a rustic character juxtaposed against its elegance. It will go as well with a checkered tablecloth as it will with fine, white linen. — 11 years ago
Full, round bursts of cherry and berry juxtaposed with a subtle smokiness. — 12 years ago
Quiet wines of place. You can’t help but fall in love. Ovum hits a few notes for me. 1. They are German inspired. 2. They are intrinsically culturally relevant. 3. They are unpretentious. Give this wine time and it will sing.
The aromas are deep, made of smokey, chalky limestone, white flowers, and honeyed peach. Texture and acid juxtaposed - flavors of ripe pear and yellow peaches. — 8 years ago
Very hot with persistently grippy tannins. My first HSS, unfortunately from an off year. For the first hour it had an identity crisis, with classic, savory notes crudely juxtaposed to big fruit screaming for attention. The fruit won the screaming match, eventually even overwhelming the signs of oak. This was good, this paired nicely with steak, but I wish this knew who it was as it has so much potential. — 8 years ago
Dark purple colors juxtaposed with bright red fruit on the palate. Not jammy or too fruit forward. Nicely balanced from start to finish. Light tannins that soften after a few minutes. — 8 years ago
Solid drop. Good balance of flavour and spicy tannin. Nothing amazing but would definitely drink again. — 8 years ago
David Ramey knows what he's doing when it comes to Chardonnay. This corroborates that. Pear skin, lemonade concentrate, and a herbaceous mix of toast and oak are juxtaposed with ample acidity, which provides some modern flair to this classic style. — 9 years ago
This is juxtaposed to what we normally select. Loving the poise and grace of the varietal. Weight is perfect. Uber dry on the palette, with notes of of flowers and baking spices. Finishes compressed, but with excitement and fun. — 10 years ago

2012 Del Dotto 887 Connoisseurs' Series 9 Oaks French Select is a complex wine with a distinctive heavy oak note. This wine is balanced with sweet vanilla, tart cherry and plum flavors The hints of roasting herbs such as rosemary and sage give this wine a mild bitterness that balances the berry fruit and vanilla. Overall this wine shows the complexity of the 9 different oak forests in France juxtaposed against the 2012 Napa Cabernet fruit. This is an oak lovers wine. — 11 years ago
Feels as if it should only be consumed in a place of worship. Amphorae-aging and terra-cotta bottling leave a closed finish that when juxtaposed to the rambling, sunny, beach-side, exuberance of the juice itself suggest completion instead of limitation. — 11 years ago

killer poulsard. beautiful raspberry tones juxtaposed to savory mushroom and game. — 11 years ago
Spicy minerality with citrus juxtaposed nicely with stone fruits with creme fraiche. Bright acidity and spicy initially, giving way to a mellow and smooth finish. This wine changes character throughout each sip! — 12 years ago

So complex - nuttiness juxtaposed with Carmel and spice — 7 years ago
