This evolved to a better place during the course of the evening. Mature, so get after this tout de suite! Look, at the price, I consider this to be a penis extension, which I would like 😉 — 20 days ago
Pedestrian relative to prior vintages. Lacking the dimensional complexity that we’ve come to expect from this producer. We purchased a six-pack, so my prayer mat is out…
2nd bottle opened, exactly the same, maybe worse. Revising my score downwards. Avoid this vintage from this producer like the plague. — a month ago
Boys weekend in Detroit.
A very lifted expression of burgundy. So much focus and separation on the mid palate. Waxy lemons define the texture on the palate, which then combine with white fruits. Superb length on the finish. Moderate acidity and delicate sweetness bring home a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Even better on day two. — 12 days ago
This producer is in a class of its own.
No signs of maturity. Pure notes of saddle leather and oak on the nose. A pure expression of Bdx with balance and power. Mid palate displays mature cherries and a hint of olives. Grainy tannins play second fiddle to prominent acidity.
My mental shortcut here is; GET SOME!

See my prior notes. Enjoyable but not outstanding. — a month ago
So impressed with this vintage. Deep and concentrated nose and palate. Displays quince and white fleshed fruits, coupled with a dense, oily mouthfeel. Superb length with very little acidity to talk about. Finishes sweet and voluptuous. Overall, the integration is textbook. — a month ago
Visual tells you that this is a mature example. Nose presents olives peaches. Palate is all about macerated olives and briny notes. Nice delicate nutmeg and roasted nut notes combine with ripe white fruits and moderate sweetness. I love the Hudson vineyard so wanted to take a look at this. We got to this a little too late, but it’s still excellent. Its pedigree shines thru. — a month ago

The vintage was poor, producer is superb. Reflection and introspection leads me to regret. If you’re on a tight budget, don’t go here. In my opinion, the vintage presents too many fault lines to be addressed. — 12 days ago
