Beautiful deep color, very spicey black cherry nose , palate is well balanced with oak, fruit and acidity. This rich wine is showing well and no sign of fading at 18 years of age . Purchased on release and cellared at 52" — 9 years ago

Creamy texture, plenty of fine bubbles, some funk on the nose, rich overall feling — a year ago
Bright ruby color. Aromas of red berry fruit, violets, wood smoke and wet soil. Flavors of red cherries and currants with additional notes of cooked mushrooms, baking spices and coffee. Medium bodied but a bit short on the mid-palate. Silky tannins and light acidity. Part of Kevin Zraly’s 2025 Red Burgundy Master Class. — 10 months ago
Love purity and power of the middle. Perfect ripeness. — 5 years ago
Acidity and cut, but also sneaky depth and baked, spiced apple complexity. As always, one of my favorite producers in the world — 7 years ago
Delicious, especially with sirloin steak and Billy!

I love this vineyard and Girard’s interpretation of it. Generous and enveloping nose with gorgeous mid season cherry, spice, seaweed paper, tweed jacket and macerated mid to late season cherries. Really provocative and deep aromas. Palate is classic young Fichots. A wall of tannin and gorgeous dark fruits that echoe but are currently 90% covered by tannins. So dense and chewy with just awesome inner mouth aromas and dark black and blue fruits and. sinewy, foresty vibe that is so intriguing. This wine needs air but is shaping up to be a classic Fichots. Nose opening up with dark cranberry, spice, forest floor and more. The Fichots aromatic complexity is really here in spades. I love this wine. Loosening up and getting so juicy. So pure. Really nice inner mouth aromas and terrific energy and freshness. Awesome on day 2. Nose is brambly and nuanced. Palate is out of this world. Dense and opulent fruit. So fresh. Bursting. Sweet and tart. 9.4 to 9.5 overnight. — a year ago

Don’t see this varietal on a restaurant menu very often, so I grabbed it. Great choice. With rack of lamb and braised beef short ribs, it was truly wonderful. — 6 months ago
