It’s amazing that this grape can produce wines with so much freshness and juicy fruit, completely balanced, zippy acidity in an area That’s very close to the Mediterranean and dry when we think of this kind of style of wine only coming from the northwest of Spain and in reality it all depends on the grape variety and of course, the winemaking. this is a really good example of #grenacheBlanc. #garnachablanca #terraalta — 3 months ago

Interesting Garnacha/Syrah Blend from Catalonia. Intense aromas of red and black fruit with notes of minerals, stones and baking spices. Dried (intense) red and black berry flavors along with hints of toast and those baking spices. A bit of a green leafy quality which is quite pleasant. Creamy texture. Fine and velvety tannins and nice ruby color. Harmonious and well balanced. Excellent QPR. — 6 years ago

Nose - Plum, candied orange, peat moss and wood. Mouthfeel - Velvety smooth up front, ending in a subtle pleasant astringency. Main flavors - Stone fruit and earth with a delicate acidic ending with a touch of dryness, like you get when you lick the pit of a nectarine, peach or plum. This dark wine has a fruity nose of blackberry and plum, but there are some more savory notes as well. Black pepper, cigar box and black olive also come through. On the palate, licorice and plums are in the forefront of one of the fruitier flavor profiles I have tasted in Apulian Primitivos. The 16% alcohol is not as overpowering as I imagined it would be. The tannins are fairly forceful and the acidity is refreshing. This wine drinks really well and will pair nicely with a marbled rib eye steak. — 5 years ago
