Mineral grass and bright citrus. Great way to kick off a weekend — 11 years ago
Love this one. Smells like grass and peppers. It tastes like pineapples, and maybe some hay from the old barnyard. — 12 years ago
Pronounced intensity, with aromas of green bell pepper, asparagus, apricot, and freshly cut grass. On the palate, lychee, grapefruit, lemon, and bell pepper with a long finish. — 13 years ago
This Bordeaux Blanc Sec is a classic blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, and is quite a steal at less than $20 per bottle considering it's from Domaine de Chevalier. Fragrant floral notes are rounded out by rich aromas of shortbread cookie, pear, honeydew melon and a hint of freshly mown grass. Full-bodied with medium acidity, lovely toasty notes bolster a core of sweet fruit. Mineral accents and candied grapefruit show through on a lengthy, meandering finish. 13.5% ABV — 11 years ago
2012. Similar to the other Greywacke SBs. Grapefruit, grass and a wild rice character. — 12 years ago

2008, Francois Cotat, Les Monts Damnes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc. Brought this one back from France in 2011. Has aged well, no signs of oxidation and is still vibrant with lots of citrus. Screaming acidity, med alcohol and a long finish. Lots of grapefruit, lemon zest with a little orange blossom, white pepper and fresh cut grass. A little minerality on the finish. Need to find a 2011.
