"Slow Decanted" this white burgundy with the Vinloq System
DAY 1
👃Lemon/underripe pineapple with stony minerals/black pepper. Vivid
👅Glorious minerality from start to finish.
Lemony fruit takes a back seat to the minerality but there is plenty to provide balance. Great structure, very nice acidity, and a slightly oily texture. All bright and crisp
The remaining burgundy was Slow Decanted in my refrigerator
DAY 10
👃Minerals lead on the vivid nose with lemons in the background. Less flinty minerality than day 1
👅Lemon fruit followed by minerality coming on at the black pepper finish. Structure, acidity, and oily texture continue. Concentrated. Classy and well put together
The 2014 Morgeot Les Fairendes is going strong and was powerful and refined on DAYS 1 and 10.
No reason this cannot continue to improve based on the great overall balance

Very light floral aroma followed with crisp citrus and grassy flavors. Slightly Marlboro New Zealand flavors but not so unsettling. — 8 years ago

Classic J chard. Nice edge but still pretty light. Good for boneless pork chops. — 10 years ago
Very young. Still somewhat unstructured and tannins that need to mellow. But good potential. — 2 years ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Picked this up a few months ago from the state store when I saw Louis Dressner. Seems different from the only other fleurie I’ve had. Lots of earth juice with raspberry. — 6 years ago
