Part of the same generation as Verset, Gentaz and Trollat, Juge is old school Syrah at its finest. These rare bottles can be highly variable but this was the most perfect showing I’ve had from Juge. It’s everything you want from Syrah, vibrantly energetic, brimming with elegance and a wild complexity with earth, spice, wild berries and smoky minerals. Exceptionally balanced and detailed, this is perfect Northern Rhône. — 10 months ago

Light and dry but funky, almost yeasty tannins mixed with berries. Distinct old vine Chilean varietals that I would like to see more of. — 4 years ago

Honey nectar where time has carved out concrete smoothed smokey cool aromas of grilled pineapple and canned apricot.

This wine is drinking very well now after some years of ageing. Fruit depth of dark raspberry and cherry, a bit of smoke, pleasant herbs and a bit of oak. Good complexity and intensity, Lapierre lives up to its status on this one. — 4 months ago
