Just enough sour on the end to get .1
deducted. Still better than most dolcetto. — 3 months ago
See several previous Delectable notes. Deeply coloured but not deep in palate - medium bodied. Liquorice and almonds, a juicy palate. Finishes with a skinnsy bitter note. Great with free range chicken legs. Probably best drunk young. From a highly reputable producer in GD Vayra. My last bottle of 6. — 3 months ago
Best rosé I’ve ever tried, sweet and tangy finish. Notes of strawberry — a month ago

Dwindling stash! — 2 months ago
Deep purple in color (I can only see light through the edges of the glass); cassis, black cherries, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like raspberries, blackberries, hibiscus, wet gravel, and a hint of black pepper with a long fruity finish. I love this wine. Nellie doesn't Iike it. — 4 months ago

This is technically a “Superiore” now so there probably ought to be a distinction but this remains Nicoletta’s precocious expression of Dolcetto regardless.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2021 “Valdibà”pours a deep purple color with medium viscosity and moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart blackberries, plums, purple flowers, and mineral laden earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is a workhorse of a red and was a fine compliment to a variety fare at the table including pork Ossobucco and duck confit crepes. Drink now. — 7 days ago
