2010 vintage. Classic Pauillac with ripe cassis, lead pencil, and cedar wood. Still very young, but a class act. Concentrated, profound, and impeccably balanced, with layers of black fruit, a serious structure of haute couture tannins and balancing acidity. Long, mineral finish. Impressive, but nowhere near its peak. — 2 months ago
paired with caramelized shallot and apple kiwi brie crostini. the caramelized shallot brought a nice hit of smokiness. apple kiwi tartness enhanced the raspberry flavors in the wine. — 3 months ago
We had the 2016 Vintage on 5/12-13/24. Simply an excellent PN. Darker tones than other Sonoma PN. Dark cherry, cinnamon oak, maybe leather. A velvety mouthfeel. Full bodied. — 9 days ago

Among my favorite Renaissance wines, surpassed perhaps only by the 2001. Still loads of sweet piquant red and black cherries, currants, stewed plums, dried meat, mesquite wood, chocolate, wet earth, graphite and iron. Tannins have dropped out (as evidenced by the loads of sediment) leaving a velvety smooth texture. Not falling off a cliff but should be enjoyed soon — 2 days ago
