A blend of 40% Corvinone, 30% Corvina, 15% Rondinella, remained indigenous grapes derived from 18-acre vineyard, grapes dried for several months using appassimento method. Deep Ruby with with aromas of dried fruits with pepper and smoky floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry flavors, savory, with citrus, tobacco, cacao and floral notes. Soft ripe tannins, chewy on long finish ending with a juicy fruit and oak spicy floral character. — 6 months ago
Deep ruby in color; ripe plums, black cherries, and dried herbs on the nose (and a little black pepper); high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like stewed prunes, blackberry jam, and wet gravel with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it. — 9 months ago
Very nice, slightly dry but smooth. Great with meatloaf. — 2 months ago

Giovanni Allegrini was the founder of the new generation and revolutionized changes to accepted practices. A blend of Corvina Veronese 45%, Corvinone 45%, Rondinella 5% & Oseleta 5%, deep Ruby with aromas of dried dark fruits, spice and herb, about 120 days of appassimento. Palate shows ripe cherry & raspberry flavors with fig, cacao, flint and mineral tones. Soft smooth tannins well balanced with acidity on a long spicy finish. Will continued to get better with age. Needs air at this young age but quickly hits its stride. Really fragrant, with zesty, ripe berries, spice, a yeasty, fresh bread note, and mineral-flecked turned gravel. Loads of upfront fruit, but in a dry package with zingy acids. Slight bitter note complements the fruit. So pure tasting and food flexible. Textbook. — a year ago

So I had the 2018 vintage last year with a veal cotelet this year it came with the braised beef and wow is that a combination! Both dish and wine lift eachother. Young but very powerful Amarone. Curious to find out how it will be somewhat older. And next…… on to Inter in the CL! Ama la! — 2 months ago
