2006 vintage. Cork easy to extract. A rusty rosé color. Slightly dirty/earthy with light-medium body and still plenty of acidity to shepherd the proceedings along in a timely manner. The final bottle for our annual Valentine’s Day and carbonara tradition (this time one day early). We skipped last year as my wife was pregnant, nice to be back. Very good, but definitely in an advanced stage - the nuttiness really comes through. There is still great acid, lemon curd, crispness, soft bubbles.

After the full case, I’d say the ones from 2021-2023 were the best.

Bright pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes, from a small production. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and ripe citrus with notes of white flowers and nutty flinty spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus, biscuits and mineral spice. Nice!
