This was “Smokin” & WOTN in our Blind Tasting! Classic Vosne nose aromatics & silky smooth! From vines planted in 1918 & 1919; Kudos & Cheers 🍇🍷👍🏻👏🏻
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy Note:
“25% whole bunch vinification. Imperial purple and black. Planted 1918 and 1919. Edouard notes that there is a bench of hard rock in the middle of the plot, where it is hard to get the pickets in. Similar vibrant purple to the other 1ers crus and a bundle of energy on the nose. Rich plump middle with a fine finish, good tannins, and extra length. This is an extremely fine Chaumes.”Tasted: March 2020-93-95pts. — 4 months ago
Excellent, cuvée 2002. — 6 months ago
15 years. Cardamom, tons of tannins left may be too much? I fear this will turn into either something special 10 years from now or loose it. Lime, crushed marble, port. Kind of rough to taste right now very spicy. — 2 years ago

Nice viscosity. Green apple, lime zest, lemon, kiwi, some light tropical syrup, caramel & butterscotch, honeysuckle, saline, sea fossils, volcanics limestone powder, fine chalk, white spice, light nuttiness, some wood notes, spring flowers, lilies, excellent, round acidity, well balanced, keenly structured, elegant & polished finish that lasts 90 seconds and lands on spice & minerality. — 6 days ago
