Sparkling, clear pale lemon; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and tertiary aromas of bruised yellow apples, honeysuckle, and orange blossom; on the palate, it's sweet with medium acidity, low alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and tertiary flavors of overripe pear, tangerine, and caramel with a long finish. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2021 “Del Comune de La Morra” pours a brilliant garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and redolent with bright, fresh red fruits: framboise, Morello cherry, freshly paved asphalt, trampled rose petals, a kiss of VA, and dry gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. A wine you just want to smell for an eternity. Brilliant. Blend of White Grenache 50% and Roussanne 50%, aged for 1 year in new oak, bright lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and toasty mineral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and lemon citrus with toasty notes and spice, slightly creamy. Delicious, quaffable Barbera.
