Great bottle. Love Produttori but have not had this before. With an hour decant this was truly excellent. Intensely aromatic, mouth filling, long finish with a touch of menthol, present but quite silky tannins. Perfect with boar sausage and a ribeye. — 7 years ago
Wifey & I are not big into Prosecco but we really like this one. Not too fizzy, not too sweet, very slightly dry on the finish - overall; very nice. — 9 years ago
I love Italian Pinot Grigio and this one was delicious... Light and a bit dry, not too heavy with just the right amount of crispness! — 10 years ago

Pop and pour yesterday. Lovely Gavi. Sea salt and cotton candy florals on the nose. On the palate: excellent acidity and density, lovely salt and lemon notes and a clean finish. Unfussy and yumny. — 5 years ago
Very light and somewhat savory....different. great with food or on its own. Love to say Schiopettino. Extra points. — 9 years ago

All I wanted to drink all night with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella & pizza. Lots of wet earth/upturned soil/underbrush stuff (pastures, orchards, woodlands) happening on the nose. Rich balsamic/tomato paste/umami mid-palate. Baked / dried / brandied cherry finish. Soft tannins. Acid has mellowed out a bit but is still ⚡️ — 3 years ago

Mid Ruby in colour. Aromas of menthol. On the palate again, virtually no fruit at 15 years - ultra savoury with sandy, tarry, fine powdery, yet persistent tannins. This was a great match with Roast Lamb for Mother’s Day in Australia. No. 3086 of 10,000 bottles. Jancis’s tasting note back in 2012 said “this would make a great introduction to mature Nebbiolo “. — 5 years ago

Great Qpr. Bright cherry, tar, nice balance for an easy drinking wine. — 10 years ago
There is something special about this wine. First, you'll notice it's intriguing ruby red color. Very tight nose, which might make you think you can't smell anymore. But swirl it around a bunch and you'll start to smell hints of raisins and plums. The flavor will surprise you too....way more floral and fruity than anything the nose suggests. Easy drinking in the summer and fall. — 10 years ago
This was really nice! Loved the taste! — 11 years ago
Quite the treat at Italian Wine Merchants in NYC. Great nose of mushrooms and it held up all night. Best $3.00 wine I've ever tasted... — 11 years ago

Finally a drinkable Primitivo.
With vibrant acidity, balancing the dark sweet plums. Balanced, vibrant, juicy, avoiding the jammines, cloying sweetness and cooked chocolates fruit.
