Clear and bright light ruby , thin garnet rim . Fresh and aromatic rose and light red cherry , touch of light dried herbs with an earthy hint . On the palate this has bright red fruits , pure and elegant, fruit driven with red cherry , spiced red plum , and an earthy , menthol hint . Fresh acidity but with a still relatively juicy mouthfeel. Slightly grippy tannins and just noticable alcohol . Good length and overall balance . Drink now and over the next 5 years or so . — a day ago

Medium ruby , slightly wider ruby, garnet rim . Slightly more closed and serious ,spiced cherries , menthol , liquorice and dried rosemary and thyme . On the palate this shows good red fruits , with raspberry , red cherry , spiced red plum , with dried herbs and a liquorice hint . Quite gritty tannins and fresh acidity , saline tinged finish of good length . This needs a little more time , better in 2-5 years and will show well a further 5 or so — a day ago

bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — 10 days ago

Decanted for 1 hour before dinner.

Really needed food. This wine was dark and not enjoyable unless paired with rich food.
