Like nothing else I’ve had, grapefruit, Lanan. $20 for the 2022 vintage. — 2 months ago
Starts quite drinkable, mellow but firm tanninic, some what developed stern wine. No oak discernable and a good wine to fenomenal orice. . After breathing a bit burned rubber comes out. Makes The wine drinkable but dissapointing. Leaving to next day and The rubber goes away and The wine is almost perfect again. — 2 months ago
Back in Rome with pasta carbonara and amatriciana. First bottle this 3-week trip — 4 days ago
Médium ruby , medium ruby pink rim . Needs time to open up , with spiced red cherry , cut herbs , violets , slightly toasty hints . On the palate very intense red fruits , high acidity and quite gritty tannin . Quite raw and young this , really needs time . Quite saline and mineral on the long , quite lean finish , menthol tinged finish . Needs 5-10 years really will last a further 10 . Very promising . — 2 months ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Montevertine's Pian del Ciampolo blend is 90% Sangiovese, rest with equal amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino, deep Ruby with purple hues, aromas of red fruits, floral, herbs and smoky oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and currants with dried herb notes, cacao and tobacco notes. Fine ripe sweet tannins, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy herb spice character. Nice! — 17 days ago
