I had a bottle of this tonight at a restaurant in New York. It’s showed delicious notes of raspberries, violet, and some orange peel. It was a little bit open knit for such a young vintage, perhaps not as complex and structured as I would expect, which makes this a “drink now” proposition imo. — 15 days ago

Smooth and gentle, with a prominent nose of crisp red fruit, somewhat dark, with strawberries, pencil shavings/graphite, with some notes of blood orange rind, maybe some coffee and a hint of vanilla and iron. Deep garnet color, with hints of purple to the edges. Palate is somewhat meaty after some time and air, with well integrated tannins, — 18 days ago
More fruit than expecting. I was hoping for a smokier taste. — 3 days ago

Really enjoyed this with spaghetti bolognese — 7 days ago
Medium deep garnet core , medium wide garnet rim . This shows very well still with some sous bois , dried herbal hints and cherry . On the palate this shows good freshness , red cherry again, freshly cut herbs , touch of tobacco and black tea . Balanced acidity and lightly dusty but resolved tannins . Good length and presence on the palate , with enough fruit still , good balance and a black tea stained finish. This is at peak , and will probably stay here for a few more years , so no immediate rush, but is unlikely to improve further . — a month ago
Balanced herbs and fruit shine with bay leaf. Still a lot of power. — a month ago
Excellent Italian at Carbone. Let her breathe. — 19 days ago
I’m a fan of this Chianti Classico. 5-yr old showing well and a smooth finish. Probably could even improve with more years in the bottle. — 22 days ago
