Goddamn. Hypnotically aromatic and redolent of cherries, red berries, tobacco, a little forest floor, leather structured with just the right amount of minerality and crisp acidity and last for days and mouthfeel that’s just luscious. This, an edible, and some foie would be a perfect night in — 3 months ago
Tart, bright, savory, cloudy. Lovely. Satellite bottle shop. — 7 months ago
Noticeably deep colour , deeper than all the others , medium deep ruby quite thin ruby rim . Quite herbal and deep on the nose , with darker fruit profile . Blackberry , dark plum, dark cherry , earthy herbal touches. On the palate this is quite dense and rich with dark cherry , kirsch, blackberry , and a richer frame . Quite gritty but ripe tannins , with balanced acidity . Decent lightly chalky cherry , blackberry, herbal tinged finish . Very different from all others , darker and richer , riper . However , still well made , though not that charming or , dare I say it ‘Burgundian’ , probably as expected . I believe this also needs some time , come back in 5 years and drink over the next 10 or so. — a month ago
Belargus, the DRC of Loire. And another winner. — 5 months ago
Nice tertiary notes of mushroom and forest floor. Fruit is still present albeit somewhat muted. Enjoyable but not the very best from the climat. — 8 months ago
Que c’est bon ! Goûteux et tout ! Avec fromage de tête et baguette, pas trop corsé. Parfait ! — 3 months ago
Bright fruit and cherry, earth notes, cream nose. Slight funk, beautiful cherry, cream, baking spices, honey notes. — 4 years ago
A nice, smooth French Syrah from the Hermitage appellation. Heavy yet smooth with that luscious mature red fruit - tobacco ending with a hint of chocolate that presents as a “fruity” old world French red. Pair with a meal or cheese…Great glass! — 5 years ago
