Nose is like Chablis crossed with Meursault. Gorgeous notes of seashells, iodine, vanilla extract, airy salinity and light butter. Gorgeous and clean. Wow the palate really delivers. Complex and deep and wonderful texture and mouthfeel with gorgeous minerals. So complex. Really juicy and great depth and weight. Just a gorgeous wine and has that added level of Swiss precision. — 2 years ago

Alte Reben 2016
Quite rich for a Pinot yet very elegant. Raspberry and fresh cherry with some nice undergrowth and the eatheric lightness of a great Pinot. Soft and velvety mouthfeel with great acidity and light, perfectly polished tannins. Finishes of with a spicy note. What a delight, and it comes from Graubünden, out of all places. — 7 years ago
Warm and pleasant pinot noir. — 11 years ago
Nose - dried Cranberries, caramel, Vanilla, smoky, licorice, Speck and cool; Palate - fresh Acidity, Cherry, light Berries& fruits, Vanilla, salty, soft Tannins, lean but still very present with strong core; — 12 years ago
Gorgeous and plump. Haven’t had since barrel. Like a Pomerol. White chocolate, red berry, pepper and a hint of gorgeous swiss florals and herbals. Palate is so plump, juicy and super fresh. Just incisive and clear plummy fed fruit and so much mineral freshness. Clearly leads some air but just a stunningly complex wine. — 7 months ago
So so dense. So tight. So coiled. So elegant. So concentrated. Structured. Checking in tomorrow. Nose is so floral, a day later. Very mineral and so expressive. Palate is enormously complex, chewy and dense. My goodness the density of this wine is just insane. It’s barely budged overnight. Fleshier, yes but also there still is more to come. Day 3 awaits. — a year ago

A brilliant effort, the 2015 Malanser Pinot Noir from iconic winemaker Thomas Studach is game on. Medium ruby, the nose reveals intense aromas of wild strawberry, ripe red and black cherry, wood smoke and menthol. The palate delivers a full-body, excellent levels of ripe and juicy red fruit, fine grained tannins and fresh acidity. A gorgeous Swiss Pinot from a generous vintage. Drink from 2025 until 2035. — 4 years ago

No it’s not a red blend !!! Completer is a native Swiss white varietal, mostly grown in Graubünden, where this example is from. Light straw colour touches of green . Green apple , pear , white flowers , touch of peach perhaps , buttery note also. Quite round in the mouth , more of the pear and apple but also mineral and wet stones and a slightly honeyed note. Balancing and well judged acidity, impressive length . Very enjoyable not showing it’s alarming 14,5% alcohol . Very good — 7 years ago

Un 2001 à l'heure évolution parfaite ! Très grand pinot noir... — 12 years ago
Nose is hyper floral. Melon, wild mint, savory, MT on steroids yet lyrical. Stunning, sappy, deep, loads of dry extract, unreal density and juiciness. Such succulence, freshness, density and dry extract but with powerful fruit clarity. Love the bitter citrus pith on the finish. — a year ago
Really fresh and youthful. Bright fruit. Sour cherry. A bit of that characteristic of Swiss & German Pinot that I don’t quite know how to describe but is different from French Pinot. Still, very nice. — 2 years ago
Tasty Swiss sparkler. A little sour, a lot dry. — 3 years ago

Brilliant showing. Brambly red cherries and red berries. Loads of spice and Alpine charm. Fresh grasses, flowers and more. Frankly amazing spice. Palate is fresh and teeming with energy. Opulent and juicy but tense. Generous but electric. A terrific showing. Even better on day 2 with soaring aromas and unreal juiciness. — 7 months ago
