Gorgeous and plump. Haven’t had since barrel. Like a Pomerol. White chocolate, red berry, pepper and a hint of gorgeous swiss florals and herbals. Palate is so plump, juicy and super fresh. Just incisive and clear plummy fed fruit and so much mineral freshness. Clearly leads some air but just a stunningly complex wine.

A bit vegetal and restrained. Too young. These grapes tend to be very fruity and heavy, so I appreciate the Swiss restraint. But needs a little more time. Open for 1.5 hours.

Follow up: I’m trying my second bottle of this, and it’s much more open right from the start. Fruit is showing more - black cherry and dark berries, but not jammy or overly sweet. Maybe my first bottle was a little off? Or my palate wasn’t in the mood. Either way, upping my rating.
