Spicy and floral, the 2021 Chardonnay X Novo Vineyard blossoms in the glass with a complex, mineral-tinged blend of ginger-spiked apples, lime zests and sage. Luxuriously silky and soothing with medium-weight textures and depths of ripe pit fruits, this excels with tenacity and brisk acids that lift the experience despite the sheer intensity within. A burst of tart citrus saturates the palate, puckering the cheeks and leaving a salty staining as a subtle tannic tug adds perfect punctuation. Summer yum …. Killer gamay noir from Pinot/chard experts. We all need more light bodied summer reds that dance across your palate at cellar temp. Low ABV… light purple, cherry, berry, juicy sweetness with lively acid driving the fruit towards the finish. The bottle was gone too quickly with smash burgers and hand cut fries.
