Wine from the place where Da Vinci's Mona Lisa was born and where probably the name Chianti came about for the first time in 1404. What a treat! — 3 years ago
Vignamaggio Monna Lisa Chianti Classico. Had to try this because I am a big fan of Leonardo da Vinci. That usually doesn’t end well as a reason to choose wine, but this time it lived up to the name! It’s earthy on the nose with a juicy red fruit palate. Perfect for tomato sauce on pizza, or pasta. Deliciously smooth and full bodied. This wine is well worthy of the classic art on its label. — 6 years ago
I can’t rave more about a 7 year old Tuscan merlot. Soft, gentle with generous fruit while showing acidic balance, light tannins and an unmistakable peppery, cigar box aroma. — 2 years ago
Awesome super Tuscan. Really wish I had more but it was absolutely fantastic, funky and fruity with some killer Argentinian steak at Tango Sur. — 4 years ago
My last bottle from this winery. It was the first winery I ever visited. This was the right time to drink this bottle. Still fresh with nice fruit. — 7 years ago
One of my favorites. Very good chianti. Deep, spicy, with a ripe cherry, leather and oak. — 3 years ago
A perfect wine! A perfect Vin Santo! Delicious and decadent. — 7 years ago

My prior notes from 2022 still seem applicable. This is a big Chianti, not a quaffer. — 7 months ago
