100% Merlot from Maremma - coastal Tuscany. Red plums, pipe tobacco and spices as aromatics. On the medium bodied palate savoury red fruits with spices. Drinking this after most pro tasters had closed the drinking window but this is still holding up. It might have been slightly fresher and better a year or two ago but still quite good. One of the 1001 wines. 14.5%ABV - up there for a European red. I will have my last one by the end of the year 2025. — 19 days ago

revisited this after two years ~ nose is still a little green but those characteristics are now dried herbs on the palate ~ with some dark berry and plum which might come from the dollop of old vine Merlot added to this mostly Petit Verdot wine — 2 years ago

Premier nez: Expressif et intense, dévoilant des notes d'agrumes frais (citron, pamplemousse), de fruits à chair blanche (poire, pomme verte) et de fleurs blanches.
Second nez: Développe des arômes plus complexes de fruits exotiques (ananas, fruit de la passion), accompagnés de nuances minérales (silex, pierre mouillée) et d'une touche iodée rappelant la proximité de la mer Méditerranée.
Analyse Gustative
Attaque: Fraîche et vive, marquée par une belle acidité citronnée.
Milieu de bouche: Ample et généreux, révélant une texture soyeuse et une matière riche. Les saveurs de fruits blancs et exotiques se confirment, enrichies par des notes de miel d'acacia et d'amande fraîche.
Finale: Longue et persistante (8-10 secondes), équilibrée par une salinité rafraîchissante et une légère amertume noble qui apporte de la complexité. Des notes d'herbes aromatiques (thym, fenouil sauvage) complètent l'ensemble. — 4 months ago

This is as great Tuscany can get - 100% Cabernet Franc, with beautiful fruit, very dark appearance, dark cherry, herb and chocolate flavours. Duemani refers to the two hands of Luca d’Attoma, oenologist also known from Tua Rita and Le Macchiole, two other great Tuscany estates. Prices have almost doubled since 2005, but this wine is worth it! — 3 years ago
