Delightfully juicy - cherries- with some nice effervescence — 3 years ago
Rich with notes of quince and apple. Bright acidity carries it. — 6 years ago
Continue to be impressed with what I’ve had from Pataille. This has very nice aromatics, and a complex and deep flavor profile. Minerally with a long finish. Medium / full body. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Fantastic 2007 Puligny-Montrachet; a Burgundy Christmas with family and boyfriend. Merry Christmas to all. — 9 years ago
Burgundy tasting at foreign cinema. Reallly great with seafood, there was excellent acidity and some earth flavors. Really liked it but was overshadowed by the Chardonnay. — 3 years ago
Nice Bourgogne, even 2017 but drinking nicely! — 3 years ago
Substantially above a tasting that included more prestigious appellations and more expensive bottles, all in the same region and all in chenin blanc. Best VfM of a very enjoyable tasting. Nice balance and yet a subtle acidity leaving much to hope for latter years. Drink some, keep some. — 4 years ago
Rich and beautifully balanced — 4 years ago
Beautiful color and nose . Lemon with excellent minerality and fantastic acid predominate. Wonderful French Chardonnay without the flabbiness and Oakiness of California Chardonnay . — 5 years ago
Light, crisp and refreshing. Tart green apple and pear, medium plus acid. — 6 years ago
Can you even Ardèche, bro? — 7 years ago
A delightfully balanced white burgundy. Another great recommendation from our friends at Rayr in Rockport, Maine. — 9 years ago

NV. Vin de France. Syrah. Juicy and ripe. Fantastic. — 10 years ago
The 2012 Cathiard Aux Reignots (along with Malconsorts and Petits Monts, my favorite 1er cru Vosne vineyard), is much more masculine and dark fruited than the MG. Really a great side by side. There is some reduction and prevalent new oak, but there is just such depth and structure to this wine and it’s destined to live for the long haul. But unlike how reticent many 12’s can be right now, as the reduction dissipates, it offers a great deal of pleasure. Reignots is really a special vineyard. — 3 years ago
Initially heavy on the tart cherry and cola flavors. Over an hour, the acidity mellowed and this became fuller — 4 years ago
This is magical. You know when a white is really open for business and showing the benefit not detriment of oxidation? This is that. Compelling and mature and probably in its best spot. Started off as a aperitif and became a food wine and something for contemplation too over a few hours. Great work! — 5 years ago
So light and pleasant — 6 years ago
No. 2 in the Vosne Romanee bracket. Some spirity oak notes. A sweetness to the palate with drying fine Tannins. Re- tasting:- Not quite up to the others in this bracket in terms of weight. A little alcoholic and clumsy in this company. My least pointed at 95 points but still a Gold Medal! — 6 years ago
Great value. — 8 years ago
French Chardonnay with more mineral than oak but still a tad of the latter. Much more minerals than a California version. — 8 years ago
