Showing beautifully right now. Nose shows dark berries and cocoa, along with some earthiness (maybe some mushroom); palate is rich, supple, filled with dark cherry, semi-sweet chocolate, great depth and acidity balance. Delicious, and paired well with skirt steak and sweet potato salad. — 7 years ago
Delicious cab! Lots of black berry and dark bramble fruit up front with herb notes mid palate and firm well integrated tannins on a medium length finish. Great with steak, or even on it's own! — 9 years ago
So nice. Very jammy and full bodied. Plum, blackberry, herb flavors. I'm having it with herb roasted crispy potatoes; real tasty together. — 9 years ago
Went great with an awesome steak. — 10 years ago
Really nice wine. Great with steak, dark chocolate, and berries. — 10 years ago
Very nice wine. No rush to drink Great with a steak but no rush. Give it another 2 to 3 years. — 10 years ago
Interesting nose when first opened, but we let it breathe for a bit and it came alive. I'm a huge Shafer fan and will often order this at a restaurant if I'm getting a steak...and I'll drink most any vintage they have. But if this were in my cellar, it would be on the shelf for a few more years. — 11 years ago
Jordan is always good... Thinking it would have been better with a steak than the Chicken Parm at Runway 84... Thank you Ralph and the crew from Las Olas... What is better than Thursday night at this place... The chick from Mob wives by the bar taking pics... Chicken Parm and a good Cab... Ahh.... Youth is waisted on the young!!! — 12 years ago
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon. Great with fish, pork or steak dishes — 13 years ago
Big and fruity! Great pairing with a Porterhouse Steak! Dark cherry, baking spice and a hint of bourbon on the nose. Big black fruit and cassis flavors with a touch of vanilla, graphite and dried herbs. Creamy and silky finish that goes on for a while. 15.1% Alcohol but it does not seem that “hot.” Soft and powerful at the same time! Should improve with age and I’m giving the next bottle a few years to sleep. — 6 years ago
Perfect with steak. — 8 years ago
Can't believe I've held on to this treasure for so long! Cedar and sandalwood on the nose. Silky with a bright and savory--almost vegetal--finish. Perfect with filet and steak-house style garlicky creamed spinach. These grapes were picked when I was still in high school! — 9 years ago
Bold fruity upfront taste that tapers off.
Great steak wine. — 9 years ago
Decent, a bit bitter. Paired with steak and lobster. — 10 years ago
Great great wine! Smooth easy drinking. Loved it. — 11 years ago
I will use one word to describe this: "for"... As in for you; for any occasion; for tonight; for a great taste; for a pairing with fish or steak; for the enrichment and nourishment of your soul... Why not... But seriously. It's a very we'll balanced wine, lingers perfectly in my opinion. — 11 years ago
Deep earthy flavors that become more vibrant as the wine has a chance to breath. Pairs wonderfully w/ a good cut of steak. — 13 years ago
Drinking nicely. Lots of dark fruit. Blackberry and black cherry. Perfect with the steak. — 7 years ago
The Mediterranean. A big steak. And a perfect vino. — 8 years ago
Peppery with dark fruits. Very good when drank alone, but it was a little dark, was excellent when paired with strip steak — 9 years ago
One of my all time favorites, cannot go wrong with this Cab, love it with a nice steak — 9 years ago

Nice Napa valley cab. Cherry bouquet. nice and reserved. Went well with barbecued flat iron steak and lamb sausage. — 10 years ago
2012 - Great young Cab. Couldn't wait to open this one and was not disappointed. Smooth, light, little vanilla aftertaste, and great with a nice Flank Steak Dinner. — 11 years ago
Great blend! Tried it a few times - pairs well w/ steak & also went well with Italian dishes (pizza, veal or meat based pasta dishes w/ red sauce). Tried 2011 and 12: I prefer the 11 but both are great! — 11 years ago
