Aged well, nice taste of berries. Paired well with steak. — 4 months ago
Interesting especially the year. Definitely didn’t taste that aged. Some leather and oak on the end. Pleasant. Would consider getting again but didn’t absolutely love. Kurt rec. — 6 months ago
Pretty deep ruby with medium wide pink rim . Quite closed and mineral focused nose , with grafite , wet stone , dark cherry , blackberry and touch of toast . On the palate quite elegant dark fruits , with dark cherry , blackberry , grafite and cacao . Medium bodied with very fresh quite intense acidity and gritty , quite dry tannins . Medium length crushed rock and grafite tinged finish. This needs more time , better in 3-4 years and will last well a further 5-8 — a year ago
This wine is medium-dark in the glass. The nose is rich with raspberry and blueberry aromas, while the palate shows dark fruit as well. There is a touch of oak, but it is not at all overdone. The tannins are somewhat fierce upon opening, so let it breathe a bit. The acidity is mouth-watering and the finish is lengthy. Taboadella begs for a thick, juicy steak. — 3 months ago
Was searching for montepulciano d’bruzzo and this was recommended as a lower price point alternative. LOVES IT — 9 months ago
Deep ruby color.
Aromas of baked red fruit, baking spice.
Dry. Flavors of ripe raspberry, cherry, cinnamon, anise, candied red berry finish. Medium-rich, velvety tannins.

Very tasty aged Portuguese red. If I had it blind, I would guess Northern Spanish - Ribera del Duero or Rioja. Smooth and slightly musty/earthy from the age (got some cork crumbles). Opens pretty quickly, with concentrated red fruit and some blackberry. Pleasant tannic grip with a soft texture. Bold flavor throughout, big body (14.5% abv), some pepper and dry grass on a savory finish. Nice for a reasonable price. — 5 months ago
