Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous.
