Nose is bubbly cherries. Taste is fun, effervescent with strawberry and dry finish. This would trick the heck out of someone. Looks like a heavy red wine, but taste like a sparkling. Revival Market virtual event with Alessandro Medici from Italy. — 5 years ago

Bordelaise in style. Fresh plum, forest berries, cracked peppercorn, with hints of all spice and clove. Elegant red cherry, cassis, and baking spice coat the palate with lifted acidity over time tannin. Milk chocolate shavings and plum lead on the mid palate. Finish pits a pine sap character against bold world acidity and cherry jubilee type fruit. Balanced well. Needed a couple hours of air to open up. Drink or hold for 10 years. — 6 years ago
Saperavi revival. Juicy fruit from an old time band. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Wine 2 of 2 for Valentine's Day Revival Fried Chicken takeout! Some serious Chenin bubbles. Another wine with simultaneous richness and verve. Ripe, slightly bruised green apple and Anjou pear, smoky crushed chalk minerality, a honeyed, beeswaxy character, yeasty brioche dough, and some very slight anise-y spice and dried floral notes. Moderate weight with great oily texture and juicy, high acidity. Kinda like a good Savennieres with bubbles. Also awesome with Revival's fare. #Friedchickenandchenin — 9 years ago

Solid vintage - approaching apogee - seamless and packed w pleasure - not as fine as I think it can be in other vintages but still so ethereal and great lift from acidity - a joy to drink w food and friends - Something so rewarding/refreshing drinking BDX like this - there's still hope for soulful wines from this remarkable region that needs a revival IMHO — 10 years ago
Fruity, cosmetic, roses. Complexity. Elegant. Balanced acidity. Merlot rich? CF, CS. Leather. 15 @16100, Pieroth, 240413
Floral! Transparent cherry red from CF. Then MR CS. Lastly leather. Changed a lot. This wine has a good story, revival from 2007. 15 @16100, P - Eric’s, 240625 — 2 years ago
See previous Delectable note. I love this style of wine - also a great back story. Black cherry, red licorice, dried plum - ripe and intoxicating on the nose. Slaty, minerally even gravelly yet full bodied and savoury with plush rich fruit, Mediterranean herbs like fennel. You need to taste this wine while watching the Documentary, “Dreaming of Wine “ about the pioneers of the revival of Priorat, like Rene Barbier, the creator of Clos Mogador which I am sipping while watching. Makes me want to buy more Priorat. We are planning a visit there in May this year. 49% Garnacha, 25.% Carinena, 16% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. — 4 years ago

This is very good bourbon. Made from a revived heirloom corn in South Carolina and yada yada food geek stuff that’s actually really interesting but... it’s just really delicious bourbon. — 8 years ago
Wine 1 of 2 for Valentine's Day Revival Fried Chicken takeout! Crazy good. Savory and rich yet still retains focus and verve. Underripe red fruit, chalk dust, nice doughy, yeasty autolysis, and slight savory nuttiness. Great texture with a fine yet intense bead of bubbles and brisk acid. Great value for rosé Champagne. SO incredible with Revival's fried chicken as well as all the lovely sides we got. Such a fun meal and a great way to celebrate with my favorite person on Earth ❤ #friedchickenandchampagne — 9 years ago

Whoa!! This one is drinking like a well matured Bordeaux...nice structure, smooth with great balance.

St. Patrick’s in style. This is the muscat finish which was not overpowering but I think will be better once the bottle gets a bit of air (just cracked tonight). The 18 is a bit more potent/concentrated right out of the gate compared to the 15 but does have more depth. Need to try again on a couple of weeks. — 3 years ago
Nose is mineral angle grapefruit pith.
Palate is grapefruit. Mineral. Laserlike acidity.
Brilliantly well made entry level Riesling.
Day 3 this is crazy. Nose is intoxicating grapefruit peel perfume. Almost sexual. Palate has amazing Contained richness. Sick density. Five times as good as this has any right to be as an entry level wine. Bow down before Muellen.

This outstanding clarete by Jorge Monzón of Dominio del Águila has emerged as the benchmark for the revival of Clarete. Sourced from old vineyards in La Aguilera, it is a blend of approximately 35% Tempranillo, 35% Albillo and other red and white grapes such as Bobal, Bruñal, Garnacha and Pirulés, all co-planted and fermented together. Complex, vibrant, just perfect to spend a hot summer afternoon.
