Typical Pomerol nose of violets and blueberries and raspberries.
In the mouth nice structure, not overly extracted. Nice and elegant.

Super.2007 vintage, celebration for daughter's birthday. dark color. strong berry flavor. — 2 months ago
Fresh, crunch and easy. — 2 months ago
Pop and pour (practically) — can’t be helped.
NOSE: something savory, blackberry, and a little violet. Mild clove. A little clay. Something…Mexican?
TASTE: juicy, purple cassis and clay. Fresh and tasty. The kind of wine I like, basically. Blueberry pie after air. 93.

Gravelly and sandy nose. Very terroir driven. Nice one. 93+ — 2 months ago
Perfectly aged. Okay, earthy. Leathery. Well balanced.
2008, fun year. But not for the French. — 2 months ago
Potenza, controllo, profondità e . . . Lunghezza. Meravigliosa e infinita. Wow!
This wine is all in the aftertaste.

Vintage 2010 | gave it two hours in decanter, a barnyard stinky in smell (not everyone appreciates this, I do), cedar very present, hints of spices and a good concentration. When accompanied with food it is ready to drink now. Fine right bank wine, neighbour of Cheval Blanc (I take a special interest in neighbours of the priceless top domaines). — 3 months ago
I decanted for sediment and allowed to breathe for a couple of hours prior to serving double-blind to my friends. The 1966 Chateau Nenin pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core moving out to a slightly amber rim; medium viscosity with no obvious staining of the tears but there is some sediment. On the nose (and oh what a nose it is!), the wine is vinous with a beautiful combination of ripe and desiccated fruits: notes of ripe plums, brambles, purple flowers, pipe tobacco, fennel, baking spices, iron rich earth and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+, soft and the texture is thin. One of those wow experiences. The room was all over the place with their calls: Spain, Australia, USA, Italy and France with most expecting 20-30 years of age. None were particularly surprised when it was revealed to be Pomerol. All were stunned when they learned it was a ‘66. Evergreen. Drink now with a two hour decant and well stored examples have years of life left — 7 months ago

Freschezza floreale e struttura. Finale di tensione con note di genziana e rabarbaro in chiusura.
As always, a wine with exceptional personality.
