On the nose a stable, dark fruit, wet leaves, licorice. A big wine in other words, this Super Tuscan blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Alicante, 10% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. Back in Zurich, eating takeaway Thai outside! Great wine with the curry. Light, dry, mineral. Lemon, floral, pear, apricot, some mint. Dry crisp bitter finish. I had the 2020 vintage a few years ago, but I can’t remember how it compares. — a year ago

8 hours or so decanted, double decanted, brought this around nicely. Again another wine this evening that only got better. Big, bold tempranillo that has some resolved, velvety tannin of a wine of 15+ years but the fruit of wine maybe 7-8 years old...mostly primary, but deep. — 5 years ago
