Intense Pinot from Central Otago. Heavy ‘burned earth’ notes characterizing the wine. We carried this bottle back with us in 2018 visiting the region. Great pairing with pita chips and blue cheese. — 10 months ago

Manages to be bright with moderate acidity and still have a waxy last taste to it. Bright straw and slightly under ripe gooseberries, slightly under ripe raisins, persimmons. It has the tart and the acid hit a good golden flavor that has enough sugar developed to not be just bitter. Smooth and flowing, not very viscous, considering the waxy flavors to it, but overall a definite winner, especially in combination with avocado, garlic, pita bread, and all sorts of grilled meats, al pastor style.  — 6 months ago
