This bottle reminds me more of my first bottle. Ready to drink, pretty much pnp. Medium ruby colored. Not much on the nose. But nice black and blue fruit upfront, silky tannins, nice soft mouthfeel, mid palate of milk chocolate, light caramel, red licorice, lead pencil shavings. Really enjoyable. — 3 years ago
2007 vintage poured on December 31, 2022. Dark in the glass, tannins have smoothed out and still strong raspberry and cherry on the palette. Paired with Beef Wellington and a green peppercorn sauce. Admittedly the sauce overpowered the wine. — 3 years ago

2017 vintage for $55. Excellent red fruits and lush on the palette. Well balanced and not much p-funk or smoke flavors — 3 years ago
Coming from a hot vintage this wine was a bit more fruit forward than typical. Tar and cassis on the palette complemented the nose of a damp forrest floor. A nice albeit not great drink! — 4 years ago
Needs to breathe. complex. I like it. tannins, but not heavy. — 8 months ago

Always so refined, with a beautiful amber color and bold nose of crunchy, ripe yellow fruit. Nose has notes of lemongrass, fennel and lemon rind, and like, moth balls, or something that reminds one of grandma’s house potpourri. Medium to full bodied, with a bold mouthfeel, notes of overripe opal apple, golden fig, latex, hints of pineapple and amber, and a loooong finish that sizzles with energy long after the sip is finished. — 4 months ago
