Good to taste the 18 vintage. Powerful blend as always, layers of fruit and dark chocolate. Smooth finish.

Good blend just like previous vintages. Lower rating because I think the wine hasn’t integrated enough yet and needs at least two more years of rest.

Delicious wine for special occasions. Dark fruit with leathery end, lingering finish, strong but well integrated tannins. Very smooth, tastes like a crisp late-fall day. BlackBerry, boisenberry, raisin, and leather.

Let it breathe! The second glass was smoother aroma and bigger taste. Medium plum aroma. Then black cherries changing to blackberries changing to a dry tannic plum finish. You can feel the layers changing.

Absolutely phenomenal. Opened a bottle mistakingly believed it was a bottle of our everyday favorite.

First sip and I was sold!

Sipping Fine Wine

Label based on Little Prisoner etching, by Francisco de Goya. Deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and hints of woody spice. Aged 30% on new oak, combo of French/American barrels, blend of Zin, Cab Sauv, Petite Sirah, Syrah & Charbono. Palate shows flavors of sweet cherry, blueberry & raspberry, zesty spice lively acidity, good balance. Fine tannins, long finish ending with cacao & oaky character.

From magnum. Lush and rich, this is undeniably delicious. With a relatively restrained nose and soft yet supple tannins, this 16’ has a bit more elegance than the 14’ and the 15’ I tasted.
