This is a very tasty Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and interesting to enjoy as a sipping wine.
Very approachable young, soft and elegant. Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.
100% Grenache grapes from 115 year old vines. Aged for 2 years in used French oak barrels. A small production of only 4,000 bottles.
16% alcohol by volume.

An explosion of apricot flavor. Round and smooth, heavy weight, with sufficient but not overt acidity. A beautiful sweet wine. — 13 days ago

2018 vintage. So close to a 9.5, you can taste it. Medium-heavy body. Sexy and voluptuous without any corresponding flabbiness. Smooth and decadent with just enough backbone to (barely) keep this grounded. Btg at $35 a glass here in the next week. 4.1.26. — 4 months ago

Subtle fruit on the nose. A lovely mix of fruit and tannins and spice. Not a lot of depth but a very versatile wine! — 6 years ago

This wine is cloudy in appearance with a peach-like tint to it. The nose is complex, with notes of watermelon rind, pineapple, green apple, and citrus. The palate is savory and tart. There are flavors of sour cherry, apricot, Meyer lemon, and pineapple juice. A cloak of salinity wraps around the flavor package. This is one of the more interesting wines I’ve tasted lately. I don’t know if it’s for everyone, but it is for me. I would like to pair it with a shrimp salad or even have it with an eggs-and-sausage brunch. Breakfast, even, if you don’t have to go to work. — 4 days ago
