Blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon & 19% Merlot, aged in new oak. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits and floral and earthy spice notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry, cherry and blackberry with licorice, tobacco and toasty oak notes. Long rich finish on soft juicy tannins, drinking well and still has room to age. Very Nice! — 2 years ago
Juicy and still with plenty of life. This is drinking perfectly.

The oldest of a 4 bottle vertical I bought a few weeks ago. In a perfect window. Made a vodka sauce and wow. Great compliment. Fresh herbs after an hour of being open. Can’t wait to try the other 3 years. — 5 months ago

Chalky violets on the nose, tobacco, vanilla and a bit of spice on the palate. Enjoyed with Ina Garten inspired meal. — 6 months ago
Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now! — 6 months ago

Andrew Cullimore
Lighter in colour than the GPL, with ruby , garnet core and wider ruby garnet rim . Quite open , cool , lightly herbal nose with redder fruit , red currant , touch of red plum , cedar , grafite and tobacco . Quite light and elegant on the palate , cool , mineral, earthy tobacco . Quite good mouthfeel but certainly more focused and reserved , nothing showy . Quite ‘Lafite lite’ in style, doesn’t have the complexity or depth of the 1st wine obviously, but gives a good impression as to the style of the Chateau . Resolved tannins , balanced acidity , reasonable length . Grafite and tobacco tinged finish. Drink now and over the next 5 years or so — 5 months ago
