Lafleur Du Casse

Château Lafleur

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1989

Lush and plush. Dark plum and black cherry with a hint of violet. Beautiful and luscious in the palate with some hints of graphite and black pepper. Great stuff — 8 days ago

Château Lafleur du Roy

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Blend of 85 % Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and black cherry with cacao, espresso and spicy herbal notes. Lively acidity, firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao and spicy oak. — 7 months ago

Château Lafleur

Grand Village Acte 9 2016

Well it’s the Acte 8, but that’s close to 9😉 in this price range it’s for me a steal. From a winemaking dreamteam comes this great bottle full of excellent wine, full bodied and fleshy stuff. Cool tannins and a bright future, if you find it just buy it and consider yourself lucky. — 4 months ago

Château Lafleur-Gazin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

Pyrazene, just ripe black cassis, mint and ash, deep lavender leaf, soft & smooth & round. Creamy vanilla on the finish. Very structured - grippy tannins on the finish too — 6 months ago

Château La Fleur du Casse

Saint Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Smooth like velvet, reminiscing Bordeaux back five years ago. Love it. 25/3-2023 — a year ago

Pétrus

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1970

Tasted blind. It was evident that this was mature Bordeaux at its finest quality level from an excellent vintage. The absence of brettanyomces and a right bank aroma profile pointed towards Lafleur or Petrus. Deliciously ripe and dried red fruits mingle with black truffle, cocoa powder, forest floor and cigar box. Gently caressing the palate, the 1970 Château Petrus delivers a full-body, velvety tannins, a core of dried red fruits and a long, lingering finish. Probably slightly past it's peak, but still spectacular. Drink now. — a year ago

Bernard Burgaud

Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2021

Lyle Fass
9.7

I love 21. Utterly classic but young nose of red berries, granite and a youthful grapiness. Some florals as well but a bit of a monolith aromatically out of the gates. More notes later as it opens up on the nose. Palate is so elegant my goodness and has that youthful grapiness. Huge red and darker berry fruit, perfect balance, clarity and purity. So juicy and clean but young but obviously very high quality. More notes as it evolves. Nose now closed at 3 hours but palate has gained finesse and it’s ultra juicy and pure. Finish is clipped but this is the whole package. This has a semi opulent midpalate one can get lost in. Wow. Incredible decadent Pomerol (lafleur?) fruit. Just insane. So elegant. This is the best Burgaud ever. — 5 months ago

Château Bellegrave

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Delectable Wine
9.1

The 2020 Bellegrave is well-defined and poised on the nose, blackberry and briary, hints of truffle unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-infused entry. Quite solid and structured, almost like a "mini-Lafleur", with a well-defined and persistent finish that has splendid mineralité. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2023) — a year ago
