Light medium ruby , with a wide ruby , pink rim . Quite sweetly fruited nose with rose , spiced red cherry , ripe raspberry , strawberry , and a hint chalk dust . On the palate this is quite fresh and vital still, focused on the light , ripe red fruits on the palate , touch of crunchy redcurrant , raspberry , strawberry. Fresh acidity and slightly chalky tannins . Medium minus chalky , red currant , raspberry tinged finish . This is still pretty young and fresh, slightly angular though and may well show even better in a couple of years and will last well a further 5–8. For a basic Pommard this is quite well made and enjoyable . — 3 days ago

On the palate this is quite fresh and vivid, raspberry , red currant , wild strawberry , touch of spice. Quite high acidity and lightly grippy tannins . Light red fruited finish , of pretty good medium length . Still pretty young , and quite well defined and detailed, vivid, even though there is a bit more oak spice noticable than the Pommard tasted yesterday. Good for a restaurant wine choice when there are no Italian reds. Not overly juicy or in your face typical of the region. Probably due to the nice peppery overlay. Acidity and tannins well balanced to permit mouthwatering enjoyment up front followed by a long relatively soft finish. Priced a bit much. — a month ago
