From Mag. An absolute wow of a bottle. The nose is crazy intense, lucid and profound. Dark plum fruit with a whiff of band aid, iron, black pepper, a tangy meatiness. Loads of delicate floral notes floating around, but a soulful and pristine bottle. As fresh as an early 2000’s bottle but so much age and precision going on. Wonderful. Just spectacular. — 8 months ago
Really solid, lots of blackberry notes and a finish that stays with you — 3 years ago
Bonnie’s favorite Pinot Noir, with good reason. It’s just beautiful. — 5 years ago
Bought this in 2014 from Lsat Bottle. Should have bought more, it was a steal at the time and it has gotten even better in the last 5 years. Not too acidic, good amount of yeast, and overall excellent sparkling wine. 69% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay — 6 years ago
Wonderful Chardonnay, with perfect acidity. — 6 months ago
Another great btl from this vintage showing dark fruits, iron, black olive, pepper, smoked meat, glycerin, dried herbs, spice & violets. This will age effortlessly the next 20 years. — 8 months ago
Excellent on a stand alone basis or in mimosas!! Slight brioche, caramel, butter, and a hint of apricot. Just as good at bottle opening as it was a couple hours later! — a year ago
Color - dark purple garnet. A bold expressive funky perfume fruit nose so classic of Cayuse with mineral-meat, smokey and mint notes lingering with a vanilla toast scent. Juicy and elegant; rich with dark plum-cherry flavors intertwined with a smokey soil bacon bitters taste—the mineral-iron characteristics follow with a tobacco long finish. Looking forward to seeing how the flavors change with different foods and as the wine opens up. Bionic Frog is favorite and definitely a wine to try and store in your cellar. A beautifully smooth Pinot Noir!! Wow — 8 months ago
I love this vintage now. Cedar, camphor and pine as well as dry roses and pot pourri. Long finish full of elegance. The marker of Pauillac for me is blood sausage/iron/cured meat and here it was just exploding. Great bottle, classic, perfect for a blind tasting. — a year ago
Nice Chardonnay. — 4 years ago
Classic Pegau style, a nod to tradition with WC ferm but some pushing from an extraction standpoint. Deep, dark, savory and operating on a lower wavelength. Not an aromatic expression of CNdP, but wholesome and shows its character in its riches on the palate. Muddled red and black fruits, from berry/plum to fig/prune, leather, tar, roasted espresso, garrigue, hot stones and iron, rich in brett but working well the wine. This was a night 2 wine, it needs some obviously time to let its layers unfold. 2016s have a certain edge and lift to them for me, this almost aligned more with the ‘15 vintage given its tenacity and strength — 5 years ago
