At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Unusual blend with fruit from high up by the foothills of Alps but microclimate warm enough for palm trees. A rather rich and round texture and wouldn’t have guessed Nebbiolo. — 7 months ago
Nose - oak, clay pot, perfume (in a good way) and flowers. Flavors - plum and pomegranates, nectarines. Feel - soft up front with a little acidic bite at the end. Really lovely all around. Just my kind of Nebbiolo. — 8 months ago

Gorgeous gorgeous nose. Spice, cherries, chestnut, mint, fresh wood shavings and cherry flower. So pretty but needs some air to really get going. Some tar and roses starting to peek through. Really refined. Beautiful pure fruit and elegant tannins and such refinement. Amazingly pure cherry fruit and a lovely, balanced and very pure finish. Wow, what a masterful wine. Nicely aged Nebbiolo. Nose a combination of lifted fresh and dried roses, strawberry, hint of caramel, earthy mushroom compost. Slightly dusty. On the palate a nice, silky texture without rough tannic edges and a good dose of acidity. Strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry. Decent length. A nice pairing with homemade carbonara. — 7 months ago
Really nice nebbiolo / barbera blend. Tart cherries and raspberries. Light to medium tannins, light to medium body. Good finish, great with food! — a year ago
Small production mountain Nebbiolo. Acidic, tannic but all well balanced. Typical Nebbiolo nose: roses, potpourri , et earth. — 4 years ago
Probably the best croatina I’ve ever had! Okay, prob the only one I’ve ever had. Another Lou classic, earthy, funky, tart cherries, beautiful ruby color and barnyard nose. — 5 years ago
Killer. Wow. More soon but awesome cherry infused with spice on the velvety and super long finish. Nose is chestnut, cherries and roses. Very fragrant. Palate is juicy and ripe but with those massive 18 tannins and mineral underpinning. Also showing some heat after air. — 7 months ago
What a beauty!
Tart cherry, a touch of cinnamon, wilted flowers, a saline, rocky note and touch of orange peel. A hint of leather. Aetheric & enticing. And evolving.
On the palate this is more austere than in the nose. Zippy cherry acidity, present yet super finely grained tannins, the fruit only in the background. So food friendly. And intriguing. And delicious.
I think this is in the perfect drinking spot right now. Delish! — 7 months ago
Nose is very welcoming. Hints of tobacco. Roasted plum. Plum skin.
Palate is sweet plum. Cherry. Delicious. Really sweet fruit. Chocolate. Good acidic balance
Very sexy texture. Really caresses the palate. Clings in a gentle but persistent way. Almost sensual.
