This wine is so beautiful. It defies words but words are all I have so here goes nothing. Haunting nose of mid season cherries, melting road tar, dried and fresh roses, spice and cigar. Woodshop, old library books and so much more. Tweed jacket as well. A mesmerizing and spellbinding nose. Palate is just so together and integrated. This is so special with gorgeously refined tannins and amazing purity and freshness. So much refinement hard not to think of Piedmontese Volnay. So concentrated and so nimble with heavenly mid to late season cherry fruit. Terrific structure for long again. Wow. I’ll follow this throughout the night. After many hours of air this has melllowed out and it just flat out gorgeous with stunning fruit presence and clarity. Amazing length. 9.5 to 9.6. — 5 months ago
A very elegant wine - attenuated nose of plum/cherry. Palate is more of the same but rather mineral and filtered quite elegantly through a tannic structure buttressed by just enough acidity. The structure really shines. Long finish & miles to go. A lovely wine from @Lyle Fass 😍 — 2 years ago
Gorgeous gorgeous nose. Spice, cherries, chestnut, mint, fresh wood shavings and cherry flower. So pretty but needs some air to really get going. Some tar and roses starting to peek through. Really refined. Beautiful pure fruit and elegant tannins and such refinement. Amazingly pure cherry fruit and a lovely, balanced and very pure finish. Wow, what a masterful wine. Solid yum. — 3 years ago
Small production mountain Nebbiolo. Acidic, tannic but all well balanced. Typical Nebbiolo nose: roses, potpourri , et earth. — 3 years ago
Loved this wine. — 5 years ago
Bright acid, tart cranberry, thin and little tannin. Sage or pine finish very herby. Easy with food but stands out by itself. — 5 months ago
Really interesting Nebbiolo wine. — 6 months ago
Probably the tail end of its good drinking window. Excellent aromatics and actually quite a deeper red color in the glass than expected. A bit muted in fruit on the palate but delicate raspberry comes through with lots of earth. Good acid on the finish. For the age and the price, I’ll take it. — 4 years ago
80% Nebbiolo, 15% Vespolina & 5% Croatina
Color not of a wine of only 5 years...deep yet translucent ruby, brown edges, stunning.
Nose, I'm in love! If there was such a thing as a cherry with rose petal that was actually a rock and you could eat it without losing all your teeth or you're a Rock Biter, this is that wine!
Palate...cherry, cherry and did I mention cherry? Oh Nebbiolo how I love thee. Baking spice, anise, oh the palate is continually changing, I'm confused and over joyed, god damn life is complicated, or is it easy?
Paired this bottle with 4+ hour, slow/low grilled spare ribs and Brahms 7th Symphony, amazballs as my buddy would say!

What a great example of the region the way the additions of Croatina and Vespolina complement the Nebbiolo all grown on the acidic volcanic soil of the region. Red berry flowers mint. Very alpine feel. Plus built to drink early. — 4 months ago
