Had high hopes as this wine/vintage was an absolute stunner 7-8 years ago when I last had a bottle but this one was a bit shagged (as my newly minted MW friend likes to say). Hoping it’s just this bottle, but maybe it’s peak has long past. Slightly maderized and very little fruit left. Thin. — 4 months ago
One of the best langhe nebbiolos I’ve had recently, especially for a relatively reasonable price on the list at Leon’s. And a great pairing with pork braciole as well. Lots of fruit, but still quite refined, with great texture and acid. Quite pretty and delicious. — 5 months ago
Ripping. Always enjoy this Barolo. It’s mature and deep. With long murky finish but it is also bright and lively. It’s such a vibrant wine. In its prime drinking window. Enjoy!! — 8 months ago
This is a lovely prosecco that I can actually enjoy on its own rather than in an amaro spritz or mimosa. Effusive nose with nice citrus and floral aromas. Lemon bar, florals, and hints of almond praline on the palate, and the bubbles provide a creamy mouthfeel. Good finish with lingering floral notes. — a month ago
Medium ruby , medium wide garnet rim . Quite open and exuberante , lots of sweet red cherry, raspberry and touch of menthol and sweet spices, hickory . Quite sweet profile. On the palate this has nice spice and menthol hints , sweet red cherry fruit , ripe tannins , but with good grip, quite gritty with good length . Balanced acidity , touch of alcohol noticeable . Overall quite sweetly red fruit focussed , pure and expressive. This is showing quite well , though still young and fruit focused. Probably better in 3-5 years and will continue to show well over the next 10 years or so . — 3 months ago

2021 vintage. Last tasted 1.9.25 (9.3). Did indeed pick up extra for the resto and down to 1-2 bottles left. PNP. Still beyond solid for the price. It you find this vintage retail and it is $50 or below, you'd better pick it up or I'll call the federales/gendarmes/polizia/po po myself. — 5 months ago
This one had good bones but the slightest hint of vinegar on both the nose and palate - and the telltale orange rim in the glass. Drinkable but maybe just OTH and couldn’t measure up to the previous reds — 7 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart fruits: Morello cherry, raspberry, cranberry, roses, tar, cool spices and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I found this bottle to be a little shy for the first 30min or so but opened up nicely by the end of our meal. Drink now through 2040. — 9 months ago

Perhaps the most interesting & intriguing older wine/Barolo I’ve had in memory. It showed its tannin profile and fruit. Tart and just gently sweet cherries, tomato leaf, soft, almost sweet tarriness, light tobacco & leather. Group intrigue. Special.

stinky and pure. Deep plum fruit. Sour cherry, . I can’t believe how fresh and intense this is given the age. May have been helped along the way with some rogue grapes back in teh day? Either way, really memorable — 19 hours ago
