Magnum lovely good fruit needs a few yrs — 9 years ago
Very BDX-like. Tight with drying tannins. Leave this alone for a few years. — 10 years ago
Another level... Still dense at the core, with steady, attractive bricking: Wonderfully dense nose of blackcurrents, pencil shavings, fine tanned leather, and a hint of woodland floor (fine moss, leaves, and fresh soil after an autumn shower). Velvety tannins and great acidity. Along with the '66 this is one of my all-time favourite Bordeaux vintages. Seems to be keeping up better than the '61s I've had over the last few years!
We drank half of it from the coravin before waxing the top in case the cork had lost too much elasticity to self-seal. I'll have the rest with my brother in a few weeks' time! — 10 years ago
Still got it. A fantastic old Bordeaux with a classic nose and great flavor profile. A bit short on the finish. Tannins even still there for a few more years of life left. A great bottle. — 11 years ago
Young, red and black fruits. Wonderfully balanced. Brought a smile to my face and a 'wow' to my mouth. Splendid from such a difficult vintage, and can't wait to taste it again with a few more years on it. — 11 years ago

A few of my favorite things, just stunning. — 12 years ago
Pristine cork, decanted for 5 hours: still balanced, complex, and harmonious as a 20 year old in a challenging vintage. Fruit still lively, with mellow tannins—this still has a few years left. Came out best for me in an evening of great old wines: ‘98 Corison, ‘98 Montelena Estate, plus de la Tour ‘99. Never underestimate the consistency of a great estate, year after year. Glad I have another bottle or two. — 8 years ago
I haven't had one of these in a few years. It's still amazing. Nice tannins, a little pepper, mineralogy, blackberry & leather. This is my wife's all time favorite wine. — 10 years ago
Sweetness that doesn't completely agree with me. Maybe this will balance out in a few more years — 10 years ago
Still good after all these years - perhaps lost a little over time as it moved through a few cellars, but still an outstanding wine. Cedar, tar, a little licorice, berry fruit, earth - all discernible through nose and finish. — 11 years ago
So much more giving them just a few months ago. This is perfect, ready to drink crunchy Morgon. #kogodwinemerchant — 11 years ago
Big quality fruit bomb - 2006 - drinking softly now, open 2 hours. Would like to see if the fruit resolves over the next few years. — 11 years ago
Great blend! Tried it a few times - pairs well w/ steak & also went well with Italian dishes (pizza, veal or meat based pasta dishes w/ red sauce). Tried 2011 and 12: I prefer the 11 but both are great! — 12 years ago
Fabulous 2003, not nearly as much brett as the 2001 I had a few weeks ago. Solid mature notes of cassis, cedar, fall leaves and loamy notes. The palate is elegant, but persistent with a fabulous attack the finish is perfumy and clean. #lebanonwine — 13 years ago
Pale yellow with pleasing aromas of citrus and sweet peaches. One of the few barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc's which adds a wonderful toasty oak flavor setting this wine apart from the rest. Complex palate of flavors, fresh fruit, lemons, grapefruit, peaches, Asian pears and baked apple with tea and spicy acidity. Slight herb notes with a smooth and creamy well balanced finish ending with a gentle sweet character. A Fav! — 6 years ago
Our monthly 4th Friday event at the storage facility. No requirements, just wine you want to share with others! Always an enjoyable time.
Special place in my heart for this winery. A few months ago, I had an '88 go celebrate my birth year. It was STELLAR. This is pushing forward easily...after an hour of air, the fruit and secondary earth and funk notes came out. So good! Thanks Walter! — 9 years ago

This is really something else. My experience with gamay feels fragmented with few and very different expressions. Had a couple of nice ones last year but nothing like this. Needs plenty of air to open up a complex palette. I get stable, irony blood, cherry, mint and plenty of minerality. Taste is smooth despite considerable acidity. Lots of minerality too. Finish is long and dominated by tart fruit. What a great wine! — 9 years ago
One of my favorite chateaus when we were in Bordeaux and the first that we visited. Still lots of layers to this beautiful Paulliac gem but it leans just enough towards the earthy notes of truffle and tobacco in addition to the typical wet rock and licorice. Just paired this with a truffle smoked ribeye, roasted carrots, and smashed cauliflower with a light gravy. Wishing this was a 3-liter and the weekend had a few more days. — 10 years ago
Excellent Cab; mint, herbs, pepper and berries on the nose. Big Cab integrated taste, just loaded and drinking great. Last bottle, had one on release which seemed all veg and they just got better with time allowing other elements to come out. Very few Napa Cabs left, too costly to replace. — 11 years ago
Really good Pinot. Lots of flavor. Could drink now or lay it down for a few. I would recommend letting it breathe for a bit before you drink. — 11 years ago
Fantastic pairing with a bit of Manchego & Mahon quesos. Well on it's way in terms of maturity but has a few more years yet of tantalizing taste buds. — 12 years ago

Naboth van den Broek
Wonderful classic Pauillac. Velvety dark fruit, cassis, dark coffee/cacao, pencil. Beautiful and great to drink now or in the next few years. — 5 years ago
