Smells like a Riesling, honey and citrus, sweetness that isn't overpowering and is balanced by some minerality. Perfect pairing for spicy food! — 10 months ago
An experiment. Served with grilled marinated halibut. Worked pretty well. — 6 years ago
So subtle - dried orange peel, potpourri and creamed corn - a delight, thank Hugh — 7 years ago
This lovely Siduri Pinot Noir is very dark-colored, big, rich, old vine mountain fruit (my recollection is that this is an old “head-pruned” Pinot vineyard, at elevation??), I can see criticism that it’s not really “Pinot Noir-like”, but like the older St. Innocent “Freedom Hill” Pinot Noirs, these wines last a long time, so even if it’s too “big”, it’s rich, intense and complex!! But, you wouldn’t ever guess, “blind”, that this was a red Burgundy. I happen to like it, as it seems youthful and fresh, with further aging potential. — 7 months ago
Nose is herbal and gorgeous with huge minerality. Lovely sugar snap peas, some C.K. Some confectionary aromas and just a beguiling whirlwind of so many non fruit aromas it’s hard to pinpoint them. A feral element as well but is so clean, so pure. It smells like the cleanest nature scene you can imagine. Yes it smells like a Bob Ross painting. Juicy and very complex with just a waterfall washing feeling across the palate. The balance of the fruit, minerals, acid and texture is extraordinary. Such delineation and grace. Stunning wine. — 8 years ago
My experience w Becker Riesling is they demand patience, air, & time. As a ‘22 & the lower end of the price spectrum ( for Becker- abt 23$) , this bottling felt as closed as a clam but peeking through were dry notes of salt taffy, hearts of palm, white pith fruits, & a saline nature to the whole affair. Decant the hell out of it or revisit in 3-4 years. — 6 months ago

2020 vintage, very delicate aromas of fruit and classic Pinot earthy musk on the nose, slight hints of leather. Very well balanced and with a subtle finish. Continued to open up after the first hour. Paired extremely well with filet mignon. For $35, I would partake in this again. — 2 months ago
