I don’t know if this is what Ramonet gets for their Chevy in trade for Batard but it certainly didn’t have the Ramonet mint/menthol. A lean balanced very clean rendition, lemon and other citrus, great texture and finesse, not real powerful but very persistent and enjoyable. Very light on its feet, it has a litheness I love about Chevalier. — 4 years ago

Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Musty nose. Notes of lemon, earth, river stones and some honeysuckle. Tight wine. Needed air to expand and gain some complexity. Developed that Ramonet mint characteristic. Great showing but limited in its ability to deliver the full package. Guessed 93 Ramonet Ruchottes. — 6 years ago
Pop and pour. On the nose: soft struck match, crushed rock, lemon oil, and some toast, which I don't think I noticed last time. On the palate: fantastic acidity, muddled mint, crushed rock, iodine, lemon oil, vanilla and lovely density. A touch of tang on the juicy and mineral finish. — 3 years ago

Medium lemon yellow colour . Quite rich and ripe on the nose with buttered popcorn , lemon oil , toasty hints and some honeysuckle and peach . On the palate this is also quite rich , with lemon peel , apricot and but balanced by good acidity and a quite saline mineral , seashell tinged finish . Drinking well now and over the next 5-8 years. From a half bottle . — 5 months ago
