Pop and pour. On the nose: soft struck match, crushed rock, lemon oil, and some toast, which I don't think I noticed last time. On the palate: fantastic acidity, muddled mint, crushed rock, iodine, lemon oil, vanilla and lovely density. A touch of tang on the juicy and mineral finish. — 4 years ago

I don’t know if this is what Ramonet gets for their Chevy in trade for Batard but it certainly didn’t have the Ramonet mint/menthol. A lean balanced very clean rendition, lemon and other citrus, great texture and finesse, not real powerful but very persistent and enjoyable. Just had to try another bottle. Medium Ruby, youthful aromas of fragrant red berry fruits, smoky and earthy notes, aged in French oak for 15-17 months. On the palate flavors of raspberry, strawberry and cherry with notes of forest floor. Medium+ acidity with soft tannins on long finish ending with tobacco and earthy character. Very nice now will improve in the cellar! Paired nicely with sushi grade tuna dish with cilantro noodles and black garlic sauce, Yum! — 5 years ago
