A little young to be drinking now but still a great wine, deep fruit concentration, very dry, lot of tanin — 5 months ago
Classic St Joseph. Savory herbs, meaty, black olives. — a month ago

Surprisingly good for a second wine in an tricky vintage. Gorgeous nose has cedar, roasted peanuts, cassis, purple florals, warm gravel. Nose whack of flavor up front, then lightens up as the palate progresses. A bit of gritty tannin in the finish. Would I prefer a bit more concentration and length? Sure. But this is quite nice. — 6 months ago
Wow. Beautiful nose from the start but the excellent somm unusually suggested a decant on this pinot noir, to our benefit. Cherry dominant and very nice 1er crú — 4 months ago

2019 vintage. Not as immediately opulent as the 2015-2018 vintages and possesses more punch than the 2020 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Think darker fruits and baking chocolate vs ripe fruits, smoke and newish oak that jumped out 2015-2018. Drinking beautifully now but 3-4 in the bottle will thin out the body and make it a better food matchup. More than a little reminiscent of Lafon-Rochet from St. Estèphe. BTG now tho as a pop and pour, it doesn't suck. 3.26.24. — 2 days ago
