Rocky Grenache. Very reductive. Took 45 minutes to blow off, but afterward had great red fruit and violet aromatics. Tannin has integrated well, but probably doesn't have much life left from here. A little dusty. — 10 years ago
Bright and juicy with the nimbleness of a ballerina. Nice light warm up for the palette and the onslaught of juice about to occur.☝🏼️ — 11 years ago
The nose on this is stunning. Hauntingly pretty with red fruit, roses and a great length and complexity. On the palate there's still decent fruit... A slightly blurry mid-palate, with a faded sweetness, resolved tannins and good length. A very nice wine still... But that nose! — 10 years ago
After breathing for a moment, this Pinot quickly opened into a silky soft, yet extremely complex wine — 10 years ago

I really came to like this one. The pedigree of the vineyard is unassailable & while this opened on the first day with a jumbled mix of bracing acid backed with some opulent creaminess which eventually came together and showed a lemon curd richness tamed by acidic tension. Fantastic stuff. — 10 years ago

This wine packs a punch! Pungent upon smell and going down, but man oh man do I love it. Sweaty socks is right. I don't usually go for a gamay, but this ones my jam. — 11 years ago
It's hard to imagine now, but there was a time in my life when I thought I didn't like Beaujolais! — 13 years ago

Lovely... Certainly more reserved than West Coast Pinots, lighter, brighter, more mineral. After some air, we could not stop drinking this one! — 10 years ago
