2016. We really liked the way the oak rounded out this wine when compared to the slightly more tart Barbera d’Asti from the same producer that was poured as part of my daughter’s pairing. Paired with the Tajarin dalla forma finished in a wheel of gran kinara cheese. — 3 years ago

A really great wine. Drinking fantastic now. Very floral nose. Almost black. Ripe blue and brackish fruit, firm yet silky tannins. Great mouthfeel. Graphite. Nice long finish. Great with a steak meal! — 6 months ago

Double decant and pour(decent chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark purplish ruby red color. On the nose: A big inviting nose of dark fruit, tobacco, forest floor, stewed meat, minty menthol, floral. Taste: smooth, layered, savory wine with a little plum/blueberry, chocolate, earth, pepper, dried herbs, minerals, and a nice medium plus finish with a little tannic kick. YUM! Still very drinkable and should hold for more years of drinking pleasure. A Heidi Barrett wine...popped to fire up for a Heidi & Bo Barrett wine dinner next week. — 9 hours ago
