Quince, bruised pear, lemon oil, gardenias, brioche, custard, saline, honeysuckle, sea shells. Vibrant sharp acidity, rich medium body, compact bubbles, long floral-slightly tropical crisp finish. Terroir focused, corpulent with grace, rustic charm behind its obvious elegance. — 7 years ago
Remarkable aged Muscadet. Gun metal, peach, meyer lemon, vanilla custard, white flowers and brine. Very balanced with integrated minerals. Long finish. — 8 years ago
Bright, clean and fresh. Grapefruit, lemon tart, lemon custard. — 8 years ago
Bracing acidity up front, lemon custard in the middle and dried flowers to finish. — 9 years ago
Unspeakable. The wine looked oxidized but when I tasted I lost my voice. Cream, custard, all the way through lemon-lime to stone fruits, tropical fruits . The oak influence extremely low aloud me to get clean flavors that shown the qualities of the wine maker and the wine's terroir. Finish long stayed for minutes. — 10 years ago
Custard, autolytic, and Brie. Yum! Paired with turtle soup awesome! — 10 years ago

🦃 Paired w/ Lemon sole goujons — 7 years ago
No bubbles left, some seepage on the cork, but funnily enough it was still quite special, confit ginger, mandarin marmalade mixed with vanilla beans, custard, creme brûlée, just the caramel on the finish showed it wasn't stored correctly, all things considered quite extraordinary. — 8 years ago
Great texture, baked stone fruits and custard. — 10 years ago
Tres Beautiful nose 👃👃👃
Caramel apple-banana brûlée top notes, pear and spice underneath, still-pert lemon zest and peach custard, too. Palate delivers that Cali-leonine body -ie big! - but with enough brisk acidity to keep things more than decent. Long, with flavors that echo the nose and all around beautiful balance. Drinking super well at moment, near its peak and rewarding this bit of bottle age with plenty of secondary characteristics. PLUS:: #winebling (yes, there are some tartrate crystals, folks - all just adding to the allure - game on!) — 10 years ago
Slight reduction/barrel stink. Caramel and lemon custard. Should age beautifully — 11 years ago
NYE wine 2017/2018! Beautiful Custard & Biscotti aromatics, medium-weight, Zippy acidity... Fun! — 7 years ago
From the always reliable producer. A little too young but showing strong notes of new oak, along with lemon curd, vanilla custard, citrus fruits and lemon peel — 8 years ago
Whipped cream, buttered toast, vanilla custard, exotic minerals — 8 years ago
Tonight's wine is the 2014 Custard Sonoma Valley Chardonnay.
On the nose there are notes of pineapple, papaya, pear, mandarin orange, coconut, almond and vanilla.
On the palate we are getting lemon, pineapple, vanilla bean, caramelized sugar and a touch of butter.
There is sharp tingly acidity with a creamy mouth feel. All the way through you get that crisp clean long finish.
Very nice for the price. Very quaffable!
Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
Amazing terroir and funk initially. A near-burnt apple bread, orchids, lilies, pine sap, mushrooms, and of course citrus nose. The palate offers creamy pear, eggshell, lemon custard, dried apricot, candied mango, toast and lemon zest, salty yellow plum, underripe strawberry-cherry-star fruit, this champagne has it all, from impeccable texture to unbridled complexity. Pithy, dry finish seals the deal!! #moutard #champagnemoutard #champagne #6cepages — 10 years ago
Vanilla, custard, creme brûlée, salted caramel, almonds, lacquer. Balanced acidity/ smooth slightly sour finish. — 10 years ago
Apricot, lemon custard, and buttered toast on the nose. As usual with this cuvée, a Pinot Noir-heavy blend. Layered and lovely in the mouth, albeit not as rich as I'd expect for the vintage. Wonderfully long finish. Will evolve nicely over the next decade in the cellar. — 10 years ago
Brilliant. Decadent. Rich. Lemon Custard Pie. — 11 years ago
