Definitely Chardonnay fruit, and yes, the oak is really forward, but with the orange blossom in the nose and the minerality it can only be Chassagne. — 9 years ago

This. Wow! Five spice powder, smoked bacon, and more red fruit than a 20-year old wine should reasonably have. Maybe it’s a great maker with grand cru grapes using whole-cluster fermentation, but it’s definitely magic. No doubt, its among the best I’ve ever had. — 6 years ago
